UCMS provides technical support for small businesses operating in Upham's Corner. Through partnerships with city agencies and business development organizations, UCMS connects entrepreneurs with resources, training, and guidance to help them start, grow, and sustain their businesses.
Support includes business planning assistance, marketing guidance, permitting information, and referrals to financial resources.
Small Business Workshops
Workshops are organized throughout the year to provide practical training on marketing strategies, financial planning, and customer engagement. They provide a collaborative environment where local owners can connect with experts.
Networking Breakfasts
UCMS hosts regular networking breakfasts that bring together business owners, community leaders, and partners to build relationships and discuss district challenges and opportunities.
Sidewalk Cleaning Project
Maintaining a welcoming and clean environment throughout the commercial district. The initiative focuses on improving the appearance of storefronts and sidewalks while encouraging community pride and participation.
Public Safety Taskforce & District Walk
We collaborate with community organizations and public safety officials to identify issues, discuss solutions, and strengthen communication between the community and safety partners.
